About

Hello Disney fan and welcome to I Heart Disneyland! However you ended up here, I assume you too can recite every line and lyric to The Lion King, or the ghost host’s opening spiel at the Haunted Mansion. In short, if you’re a fan of Walt Disney and his parks and you love talking about it, then I’m glad you’re here.

If you’re planning an upcoming trip to Disneyland, perhaps this site will be helpful in getting tips and tricks, or simply ramping up the excitement (though I’m sure you don’t need much help from me there!). And after having the time of your life at the Happiest Place on Earth, I hope this blog can help assuage some of those post-Disney blues.

You’ll find information on what’s going on at the Disneyland Resort, as well as guides, reviews, and my thoughts on anything from restaurants to seasonal events. The fun isn’t only the parks, of course. I also talk about the films and Disney in everyday life.

If you’re new to the site, I hope you enjoy browsing around. To get started, here are a few of my personal favorite posts: The Guide to Disney California Adventure’s Cove Bar, a guide and overview to Mickey’s Halloween Party and the Frightfully Fun Parade, and for the nostalgia factor, my one and only experience at Big Thunder Ranch.

As for who I am – hi, I’m Isabel. I was lucky enough to grow up celebrating many birthdays at Disneyland, and I remember going to the movie theatre for the very first time to watch Beauty and the Beast. In 2014, I finally fulfilled a life-long dream and visited Walt Disney World, and I’ve been itching to go back ever since. My love for Disney started early, and it’s one of the few things that’s never changed.

Starting in 2011, I’ve also become a fan and somewhat regular participant of the runDisney races. In 2014, I completed the Coast-to-Coast challenge by completing the Disneyland Half Marathon and then the Wine and Dine Half Marathon in Florida. In 2015, I completed the Dumbo Double Dare Challenge with the 10K and Half Marathon. My goal is to eventually participate in every California runDisney event at least once, and maybe even the Dopey Challenge in Walt Disney World.

I hope you enjoy your stay, and if you like what you see here, please join the newsletter! Thank you so much for visiting.
